Ian Petrella, who played the role of Randy Parker, was a Featured Media Guest at the 2012 Cincinnati Comic Expo. While Ian attended the show, the TV Guide Network had a crew attend the show to film and interview Ian for an upcoming special.

The TV Guide Network notified the Cincinnati Comic Expo that the episode of “Where Are They Now: The Cast of A Chsristmas Story” would air on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 9pm.

The TV Guide crew captured their video of Ian as he met and talked with fans at the Cincinnati Comic Expo. The interview with Ian was conducted in one of the small rooms off the convention center floor after the show had ended.

The episode showed Cincinnati Comic Expo attendees meeting Ian at his autograph station and posing for photos. The network took a couple of cut-a-way shots of the entire showfloor from the second floor viewing area. One highlight was the Cincinnati Comic Expo logo shown on the backdrop of the panel room where Ian spoke to his many fans.

The television show featured updates on most of the stars of the movie. The show reported on Peter Billingsley, star of the movie, as “Ralphie” in some of his productions after “A Christmas Story.” The show quickly mentioned Billingsley’s friendship with Vince Vaughn, which tied him to Jon Favreau, which led him to his Executive Producer position and acting role in Iron Man.
